NICOLAS ANDREAS TARALIS SS11

Who is this you might ask? To be totally honest with you, I do not know. However, after looking through the whole collection, I think I like it! :)) Thanks to modern technology, I was to obtained a little information about the designer and it turned out quite interesting. He went to Parson in New York. Then he moved to Vienna to learn from Helmut Lang. He later got a job at Dior Homme as assistant to Hedi Slimane, which is also his last destination before launching his own label. After a long break, he finally launched Nicolas Andreas Taralis in 2008. Instead of colors and trends, he focuses more on the silhouettes, volume, and details. He uses a lot of hand tailoring in his clothes. It is nice and rare to see designers who are so ambitious and dedicated. I want every single piece from the runway, especially that cape and the boots!!! Totally TDF!!!

Dolce & Gabbana SS11

The designers are going for a slightly different direction this season, more pristine, clean, and fresh with almost all white. The signature corset is still there and so is the insanely laborious beading. I love how they incorporate lace, curtain, and table cloth in their garments. I think all the girls should have at least one piece of clothing from Dolce in their wardrobe because they are so sey and feminine. Can you think of who could possibly do sexy better than Dolce? Neither can I.

Boy, do I love Marni!!

Call me crazy but I would love to own that coat on the opening girl at Marni SS11. Once again, we see a lot of prints and geometric shapes on the runway at Marni. Consuelo Castiglioni always knows to get me. The clothes are very different and eccentric (in a good way). The styling is totally spot on right. This somehow makes me think of scuba diving (perhaps because of the caps and the colors). This would make an absolute fabulous scuba diving trip. Cant you tell that I love Marni?

Roberto Cavalli SS11

I wanted to start off with this show yesterday when i decided to dedicate my blog completely and strictly to fashion. The reason why is when I saw the first image of the show, one after another, I found myself looking with my eyes and mouth open (sort of like this :-O ). lol. I was left speechless in awe. What a beautiful collection!!!!! I will not say anymore and let you be the judge of it. Prepare to feast your eyes with amazingly faboosh:

I want to wear those pants and jackets...and bags. Oh hell, I want it ALL!! I love the idea of being suggestive without vulgarity. And also notice animal prints, the house's signature for decades, are done in soft, sheer chiffon. The craftsmanship in this collection is so masterful. Every little details are done by hands, from the beading to the stitching to the weaving to the embroidering. The labor part is just insanely intensive. Hats off to ya Mr. Cavalli!!

Welcome welcome!!!

A lot of designers seem to go fresh with colors. Botanical prints are now growing even stronger than ever promising an uber fun summer ahead. Case in point -- Carolina Herrera:

And when talking about botanical prints, how could one leave out Erderm with his signature botanical garden? He has never failed me ONCE!

I just couldnt stop myself from gasping. How could you not? *swoons

In midst of neutral and pastel colors, a few designers had added a little punch of bright colors into their collection, reminiscing Fall 09. Such examples can be seen at:

It seems to be a bit biased of me (taken that I've always loved the house's take on minimalism and excellent tailoring) but my favorite is probably the ones at Jil Sander. Not only the colors are absolutely amazing, I also love the silhouettes as well. They had me at the idea of pairing a plain T-shirt with a couture-like skirt to make things more practical. LOVE!
