Lanvin is coming to town!!!

Seriously? Yes, seriously. I did not know until my friend told me about it. And then she slapped me with a link to the article that confirmed the latest resident on Rodeo Dr, Lanvin. Along with the new collaboration with H&M coming up, the timing is not any more perfect than now. This is going to be INSANE!! So HUGE!!! This is going to be my new candy store.  I have been waiting for this day to come and it is finally going to be true in a very very near future. There is another reason to stay in LA. Now who is going with me to the opening?? :))

Talbot Runhof Spring 2011

Going onto their 3rd season, this duo has already got a lot of attention from the fashion peeps as well as major retailers all over the world. Funny when asked what their inspiration is, their answer is Lucy Ricardo. We could totally see the reference in this collection but with a modern update. The shapes of these dresses are very feminine and somewhat matronly but yet pretty modern and sexy. We love how versatile some of these pieces are that we could totally see them being shared between a mother and a daughter.  

       

Chanel Spring 2011

Karl Lagerfield is one of a few designers that I always ask myself "How do you do it?"After decades of being as one of the top leaders in fashion, he still manages to stay on top. The intricate beading and its craftsmanship is just so incredible that makes my heart swoon. This season is all about tweed and feather it seems - LOTS!!! The signature Chanel tweed is already well known but the beading detail is just so insanely beautiful and intricate that we cannot help ourselves but blurt out "OMG!"

A Fabulous Getaway from Dior.

Wow! After the gorgeous couture show, John Galliano is up again and puts on a show that continues to turn head. Considered that the time frame from the couture show and the Spring show is short and that he also has his own line to present, I really don't know how they are still so incredibly well done and breathtaking. Truly genius! The girls this season seem to be on some sort of fabulous fantasy island getaway. Just look at the floral, Hawaiian prints, and the bright, bold colors. Some of the accessories also have some sort of tribal reference to them as well. If a getaway is this fabulous all the time, I am so on board.
