Balenciaga SS11

New York Fashion Week maybe the first to start but Paris Fashion Week is definitely last but not least, or even the best of all. This is where all the major shows are, where the magic happens. I would like to start off with my absolutely favorite - Balenciaga. This is one of the very few shows that I highly anticipate every season. Once again, like other seasons, Balenciaga just takes my breath away. The past two seasons were, no doubt, incredible. Going on to the latest, Nicolas Ghesghiere seems to have high-street inspiration in mind still even after two seasons. However, I love this season a bit more because everything is wearable. I have always loved couture because of the amazing craftsmanship and meticulous hand-sewing skill. The fact that he utilizes modern technology in his clothes and finishes them with couture techniques makes me want to own them even more. He is a truly a genius. I cannot think of anyone who could be a better successor of Balenciaga's than him.
